At the first international, in-person LCC Annual Conference after 40 months, the focus will be on networking within the association and with partners from the travel industry.

Frankfurt, 16 February 2023: In two weeks, Lufthansa City Center (LCC) expects about 450 participants from Lufthansa City Center travel agencies worldwide, from partners in the travel industry and from the LCC Headquarters to attend its international annual conference at the Hard Rock Hotel Marbella. At LCC, this meeting is traditionally called the General Assembly. This year's motto is "Closer!".

From 1 to 4 March 2023, the Lufthansa City Center travel agency entrepreneurs will travel to Andalusia. The venue for the event is the new Hard Rock Hotel Marbella. "It is the first Assembly after a 40-month break. We are really looking forward to the international exchange," say Martina Groenegres, Managing Director of Lufthansa City Center International, head of 230 international LCC agencies outside Germany and Markus Orth, Managing Director of Lufthansa City Center Reisebüropartner GmbH and head of the 270 German Lufthansa City Center agencies, who, together with Turismo Andaluz, are inviting participants to southern Spain.

"Closer!" is the motto of the conference. This symbolizes the need for close connections these days: Moving closer together within the global LCC network, closer to the customers, closer to the partners from the industry - these are the focus areas set for this conference. Almost 300 LCC entrepreneurs from countries ranging from A like Australia to Z like Zambia and, of course, from Germany will be there. Since LCC is committed to sustainability, the CO2 emitted by this global conference and the travel involved will be compensated according to the Atmosfair standard.

Keynote speakers are Arturo Bernal, Tourism Minister of Andalusia, Suzanne Neufang, Managing Director of the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) in New York, Nejc Jus, Head of Research at the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) and Dirk Inger, Managing Director of the German Travel Association (DRV). Many high-ranking representatives of tour operators, airlines and IT partners will also be attending. "The General Assembly is traditionally our top event of the year," says Martina Groenegres. "Here, our entrepreneurs exchange ideas internally on an international level as well as externally with suppliers from the industry. Many of our worldwide network partners combine the trip to Europe with a visit to the ITB in Berlin the following week."
