Lufthansa City Center International (LCCI), the international headquarters for 300 Lufthansa City Center travel agency franchisees in 104 countries, announces significant management changes: Effective September 1, 2024, Heiko Brix will assume the role of LCCI’s Managing Director. Heiko Brix succeeds Martina Groenegres, who has led LCCI since 2020 and is set to enter early retirement end of August 2024. Heiko Brix brings a wealth of experience to his new position, having held various roles within the Lufthansa Group since 2001. He is currently the Commercial Director of Touristic Offer Management at Eurowings, where he manages a diverse team and key portfolio to ensure revenues and "best in class" processes for touristic partners and their needs.

The shareholders of Lufthansa City Center International GmbH are Lufthansa Commercial Holding and Lufthansa City Center Reisebüropartner GmbH . With 32 years of industry experience, from frontline operations to executive management, Heiko Brix is well-prepared to lead Lufthansa City Center International into its next phase of growth. “The Lufthansa City Center network, both in Germany and globally, has consistently been an integral and professional presence throughout my career. With its advanced technological infrastructure, its incredible human power of locally routed innovative entrepreneurs and its collaborative efforts, it feels absolutely fitting and rewarding to officially join the team," comments Heiko Brix.

Heiko Brix started his career at Kuoni Travel, moved to Lufthansa in 2001 and was responsible for the Lufthansa City Center travel agencies as Key Account Manager. After further positions, he took over the management of the Lufthansa Global Telesales location in Istanbul in 2009, later became responsible for Lufthansa Group Sales South-West Germany, then West Germany and until 2021 LHG Sales South-East Asia and Pacific. In June 2021, Heiko took over overall management of Eurowings' tourism sales in Cologne. Heiko Brix is 55 years old, has been married to his wife from Warsaw for 27 years and is the proud father of a 21-year-old daughter and a 23-year-old son.
