The first exclusive DMConnect networking event in Berlin united 100 buyers and DMC Sellers for a vibrant evening full of curated destination insights and business relations across five continents.

Frankfurt, 3 March 2026 – On the eve of ITB Berlin, Lufthansa City Center International (LCCI) successfully launched its first exclusive DMConnect Buyer-Seller Networking Event, bringing together 80 carefully selected buyers and DMC Partners from across five continents for an evening dedicated to high-end destination expertise and global business exchange.

Hosted at the exclusively booked BRLO location in Berlin, the boutique-style event offered an intimate yet dynamic setting across two levels. Carefully curated one-on-one appointments enabled buyers to discover tailor-made travel concepts from locally rooted DMC specialists representing more than 25 destinations worldwide.

Despite the challenging political circumstances surrounding this year’s ITB, which personally impact a global network like LCC even stronger, the atmosphere remained powerful and forward-looking. The message was clear: travel endures. Safety, reliability and a 360-degree service approach along the entire customer journey are more essential than ever. Trusted local expertise, united under a strong global quality brand, remains the foundation for resilient international business.

“Global business doesn’t pause in times of crisis — it comes closer together and creates empathy as well as hands on support for each other”, says Heiko Brix, Managing Director of LCC International. “The energy at our premiere event is remarkable. Despite the challenging backdrop, we are experiencing strong global momentum and real business opportunities.”  “This premiere proves that strong trusted partnerships and authentic local expertise as well as local assistance on the ground along the full customer journey are more valuable than ever,” adds Antje Lehmann, DMC Manager at Lufthansa City Center International. “In uncertain times, trust is the true currency of travel.”

DMConnect 2026 delivered a clear industry signal: travel is becoming more personalised, selective, sustainable and experience-driven. The highly curated format ensures that LCC DMC partners meet precisely vetted, high-value buyers in an efficient setting meaningful one-on-one meetings and premium networking opportunities throughout the evening. The event concluded with a celebratory prize draw sponsored by participating exhibitors — a fitting close to a premiere designed to strengthen global connections.
