Follow us to the third largest, crystal white salt flat in South America together with our dear colleague Damián from our travel agency Lufthansa City Center Sudameria in Argentina. Damián know all about this special place:
“Many years ago, the basin was completely covered with waters coming from the volcano. The gradual evaporation of this liquid and its components is what later gave shape to this salt flat, which has a crust whose average thickness is 30 centimeters.
There, the silence is barely broken by passage of animals that inhabit the region and the shouts of joy of the travelers who play with the mirages that its singular optics allow. You should definitely put this place on your bucket list!”
Did you know that it is possible to walk on Perito Moreno Glacier? There are two types of experiences depending on how adventurous you are! Mailén Chaure from Lufthansa City Center Secontur in Argentina about El Calafate!
The best place to enjoy sunset is the Don Pichón restaurant while tasting the Patagonian Lamb! Spend a few nights at a Patagonian Ranch and have the authentic "gaucho" experience. Combine nature, archeology and gastronomy by having dinner at a cave with Nativo Experience.

Many do not know that Ushuaia is also the main gateway to visit Antarctica. You can easily hop on board one of the many cruises to discover the White Continent! It is a good shopping destination too, since it is a tax free city.
The best time to visit is in Argentinian spring or summer time. Ideally, you come from November on since it's Penguin season! Agustinas food recommendation is to try is King Crab, Black Hake and Fueguian Lamb.

Are you excited for our next travel spot? Today it is Montecristi in the Dominican Republic shared by our lovely colleague Gilkia from Lufthansa City Center Exelenzia Travel Hub in Dominican Republic. Montecristi is also called the jewel of the northwest. The province of Montecristi has a wild and striking landscape made for off-the-beaten-track adventures. Must see are the rice plantations, banana fields, goats and giant cacti stand sentry roadside, leading towards salt ponds and onto limestone cliffs hug-ging a wave-rich Atlantic Ocean. Around this part desert and part Mediterranean-like scenery, thick mangrove tunnels give way to fresh lagoons, while offshore cayes teem with migratory birds, and offer secluded beautiful white sand beaches.

Ready to enjoy the Panamanian Caribbean to relax and forget about the stress in the city? Then let our colleague Miguel from Lufthansa City Center Pan Alliance take you on a trip to the Venas Azules, those beautiful channels of crystalline waters surrounded by mangroves. Here is Miguels top 3 of “must have tasted dishes”:
1. Traditional Panamnian Saus (pig feet)
2. Pargo Rojo (Red Snapper with rice and coconut)
3. Lobster with rice and coconut
Once you have filled your belly and are ready for some adventure there are plenty of activities to do in the Venas Azules: fishing, snorkeling, visit the city of Protobello with its beautiful church or watch the sunset of one of the many beaches. And for some more local experience Miguel recommends taking part in the traditional Congo Dance. The dance, a mixture of movements, percussion and loud sounds, colors, dresses and masks, myths, magic and songs, are a fervent display of ancient African roots that have survived through countless generations. We cannot wait to visit this magical place!

The city is one of the must see places in Argentina with the Perito Moreno Glacier located in the Los Glaciares National Park as one of the most interesting natural spot in Argentina.
José David highly recommends doing a mini hiking tour on the glacier to get a different perspective of this magnificent natural treasure. If you are not that adventurous, maybe a Ranch Day on an authentic Argentinian gaucho ranch in Nibepo Aike is the perfect excursion for you to experience the Patagonian rural life. You can do all sorts of activities like horse reins and sheep shearing demonstrations or hikes and horseback riding. To end this amazing day successfully choose to eat an exquisite lamb grilled on a traditional Patagonian cross stake.

Ulla Carbon from our Lufthansa City Center travel agency Pan Alliance in Panama takes us on a trip to the San Blas Islands, the number one vacation destination in Panama that is safe and bio secure to travel. Ulla tells us that this is because the Kuna (indigenous population of Panama) protect their land against massive tourism and keep them healthy and beautiful. This makes the San Blas Islands unique if you are searching for untouched nature and culture. The most common way to get around the archipelago is by sailing from island to island. There are 378 islands of which 49 inhabited by native Kuna Indians. With white sand and waving palms, these Caribbean islands is the closest you can get to Paradise.
