Direct NDC without fees with AirGateway
As the air travel distribution landscape shifts, NDC allows airlines to distribute their content directly and more efficiently to travel agencies. Most airlines, including BA, Lufthansa or AF/KLM, have introduced surcharges on bookings made through traditional EDIFACT, and made parts of their content exclusive to NDC, further widening the gap between the channels, and encouraging agencies to adopt NDC.
What's often overlooked, is that most major carriers impose fees on NDC bookings via GDS solutions as well (such as Amadeus NDC-X), making aggregators the only multi-source channel with Net NDC fares available on the market. See overview of the final fares prices below:
