Information on the current travel situation in Poland
provided by LCC Supertour
Is travel currently possible in your destination?
Poland has opened its borders for European Union countries. It is still closed for NON-EU countries. There are some international flights, but not as many as before COVID-19. For now on there is no quarantine for people travelling/coming back to Poland, although it may change (and quarantine for people coming back/travelling from specific countries may be introduced).
Are special safety measures locally in place?
It is recommended social distancing. You have to wear a mask in shops, shopping malls, public transportation etc.
Are hotels and restaurants open? Which restrictions/rules are in place?
Hotels, restaurants, theatres, cinemas, shopping malls etc. are open. They can be visited by less people than normally (in restaurants some tables were removed). Hotels do not serve breakfast in buffet form.
Where can travellers look up the latest information?
More recent information you can get on following internet sites: Polish Tourism Board: https://www.pot.gov.pl/en
Are flexible cancellation/change of reservation conditions in place?
There are no special cancellation/change of reservation conditions in place – although some hotels (as they are far less busy than normally) may offer some shorter free cancellation deadlines/more flexible reservations conditions. It all depends on particular hotel.
