The future business model changes with Direct Connect Distribution.

Direct Connect and the future of flight distribution is one of the key issues for Lufthansa City Center.
Why? Because we want to be ahead of the market developments, act instead of react. Many travel provides skip the classical distribution method via the Global Distribution Systems (GDS), as they wish to be more flexible in offering their products to travel agencies and travellers whilst saving costs for GDS segments. As airlines allow travel agencies to connect directly to their own reservation databases, via “Direct Connect", LCC is among the first to provide a global solution to its franchisees.

This solution is called Lucy - our very own distribution platform powered by Atriis.
Lucy is a ‘neutral’ travel/distribution system. It enables TMC’s to integrate all its GDS/Non-GDS content into one system and get full control on content providers, fares, workflows, performance and policies through Business Rules Engines. Lucy is your ready-made, level 3 certified NDC solution, displaying early-mover airlines NDC fares and products alongside standard GDS content in one view. Lucy brings enhanced content to agents. Early-mover airlines NDC fares and products and low-cost carriers sit alongside standard GDS content in one, simple view.
This means travel professionals can focus their efforts on selling to their clients, not moving between platforms and the GDS. With offices in over 90 countries our team at  Lufthansa City Center is ready to discuss with you about your distribution needs and how Lucy can help shape your future.

Ahead of the wave with Lucy

In March 2019 we hosted our first LCC Distribution Summit focusing solely on the topic of "NDC" and the future of distribution. We invited experts from the travel industry such as IATA, ECTAA, Lufthansa Group, Air Canada, Amadeus, Atriis, Ratehawk and many more to give us a 360 degree insight into the current developments and the impact it will have on the travel agents.
