Persepolis is situated 70 km northeast of city of Shiraz in the Fars Province in Iran. The earliest remains of Persepolis date from around 515 BC. Persepolis is a complex of magnificent palaces that their construction started on 515 B.C. during the kingdom of Darius the first and finished 150 years later. UNESCO declared the citadel of Persepolis a World Heritage Site in 1979

The Kavir-e Lut (Lut desert) is the first natural item from Iran which was inscribed on the UNESCO’s World Heritage List. The Lut Desert, widely referred to as Dasht-e Lut is a large salt desert located in the provinces of Kerman and Sistan and Baluchestan, Iran. The surface of its sand has been measured at temperatures as high as 70 °C making it one of the world's driest and hottest places.
