Following the successful implementation of the global incoming network LCC GIN (Global Incoming Network), Lufthansa City Center International (LCCI) now focuses on another competence of its franchisees. Together with its LCC entrepreneurs in over 90 countries, the new outbound concept LCC Meetings & Events will be put to action. The launch just recently happened at the first LCCI Annual Summit 2018 with more than 270 attendees from almost any continent.
Besides the Meetings & Events launch, the international LCC franchisees also discussed the direct connect distribution platform LUCY as unique selling preposition LUCY is the technical pendant to the German distribution platform Bridge-IT. Further topics of the conference were: Artificial Intelligence, flexible “home-based“ travel consultants, latest market trends, profitability strategies and Blockchain as basis of revolutionizing travel technologies. Also the co-operation with the US market was further strengthened as highlighted by keynote speaker Gabe Rizzi, president of Travel Leaders Corporate. Travel Leaders from the US unites almost 50.000 travel experts.

LCCI also actively shapes change with further business opportunities developed in its newest business segment MICE (Meeting, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions). ”Meetings and Events represent a highly relevant growth sector worth billions of Euros, as the contact between people despite all digitalization still has a tremendously high relevance“, explains Siiri Palisaar, Senior Director Business Development at LCCI and in charge of developing the new concept. ”This segment is strong in margins but at the same time very complex. With our active incoming net-work LCC GIN and the corporate business experiences we can success in generating far more turnover.”
40 percent of the international LCC travel agencies are already actively working in the Meetings & Events segment. To strengthen this expertise and further align all activities, trainings will be offered, exchange platforms will be created and relevant MICE information will be provided. On top, an adequate, uniform technology shall be implemented.
Close contacts and excellent business at the first GINspiration Day
Three years after its launch, the success of the international incoming network LCC GIN speeds up. For the first time, more than 30 LCC GIN Sellers met so-called GIN-Buyers from the LCC network for a full-day GINspiration Day. LCC GIN-Sellers exhibited their unique offers as incom-ing agencies. The aim was to intensify business relations amongst the LCC members by further utilizing the know-how and experiences of the global LCC experts. The day was tightly orga-nized. In 10 minutes appointments, business partners analyzed joint business potentials and organized next steps. Around 600 appointments were realized this way.

The trust has been established, now all we need to do is grab at the chances of this unique selling preposition of our global network far more than ever before.“
In three years, the LCC GIN network has grown to almost 80 LCC GIN Sellers to date. Overall LCCI continues to grow. This year, new franchisees were recruited in the following countries: Algeria, Bulgaria, Saudi-Arabia, Russia, Costa Rica, Azerbaijan, Ghana, Montenegro, Pakistan, The Netherlands, China and Vietnam. Many of these new franchisees used the LCCI conference in Frankfurt to actively start their membership.
